A classic piece of 1950s vintage. Made in Japan during 1950s when soldiers would regularly visit on R&R or ship through the many US bases there. This has beautiful embroidery with a very usual motif on the black side featuring a dragon and a tiger roaring at each other with Mt Fuji in the background. On the reverse is the classic large eagle! An outstanding jacket.
Condition
Very good condition. There is some wear on the blue side right hand pocket with has been period repaired. I've touched up (very carefully) a few popped seams as is standard, but otherwise its in amazing shape. Good strong colour, very little fade and very little damage.
