If there is one name in early 20th century outdoor clothing that towers above others, it's Abercrombie & Fitch. Founded in founded in 1892 in New York City by David Abercrombie as an outfitter for New York's stylish outdoorsman. In its heyday the company had a huge store on Madison Avenue supplying the sartorial gentleman & woman everything needed for a trip in the wilderness from fishing rods to parkas! Abercrombie was well known for sourcing the finest products from all corners of the globe, and this jumper is one of those items. Beautifully knitted in early 1960s in Scotland with the highest quality wool and construction methods. Beautifully chunky, this is honest one of the finest pieces of knitwear I've ever come across.
