A classic example of a 1950s chore jacket from Anvil Brand. The brand was originally introduced around 1910 by the High Point Overall Company from High Point NC, but it would change hands multiple times during its rather long history. Eventually they would become a T-shirt brand, but it made it's name making overalls. I've looked through many Anvil adverts from the 50s & 60s, and it seems the company focused on overalls and shirts, with work jackets mention very infrequently, especially in the late 50s and 60s. This jacket dates to the 1950s with all the hallmarks of that decade, five pocket construction, triple stitched seams and it retains a pocket-watch pocket on the top left chest.
Condition
Used but very good. Nice strong colour to the denim, with some great fades. Two minor repairs on the pocket and back are the only issues.
