This is it, the real fucking deal. A 100% genuine 1950s Barbour.
There are many many many inaccuracies that exist and float around in the vintage market, and dating wax is one of the most common errors. The Barbour white labels were introduced in the early 1950s, but were used on almost all Barbours until 1969! The vast majority of white label motorcycle jackets are from the mid-late 60s, (yellow labels are from the 1970s) and very few actually from the 1950s. It's an absolute please to find a very rare, early example with a handwritten tag. It's pretty easily distinguished from its later brother with a WW2 style lightning zipper and very squared off top pockets (versus rounder pockets from the 1960s). A killer jacket.
Condition
Very good used condition. This is some light wear to the shell, particularly around the corners of the pockets. Some dirt and light wear to the lining. Some light wear to the belt buckle. A beautiful example of an early Barbour.
