First standardized in November 1941, the AN6531 sunglasses are the forerunner and first of what are now know as aviators. A key piece of flying equipment, this specification was made for both Army & Navy, hence the AN designation and saw extensive use throughout the war. They were made by a number of manufacturers, but the most sought-after today are Bausch & Lomb, famously the forerunner to Ray Ban. Timelessly cool, and a great looking pair of shades.
