British workwear has always been a slightly under-represented part of vintage clothing. Mostly too formal or focused on long coats to be overly wearable - but recently I've found some absolutely killer pieces with great design. This particular 1950s jacket features that all-important asymmetric pocket, so prized amongst American made chores, but the design of the pocket is wild, possibly to hold tools, who knows? A great piece of design and something I've never seen before. Other great details include a slightly flecked fabric, with a cream base and very light brown, black and grey spots. All-round great.
