Whilst the A2 was the more lauded of the WW2 flight jackets, I've always considered the M-422A to be the more stylish. And the 1943 Gordon & Ferguson Contact no. NXs 416 is one of the more desired versions of this timeless design, well known for its red lining, and wider pen pocket.

Condition:

What an example we have here... This is honestly stunning, and completely original. Beautiful, rich mouton fur collar, soft, supple leather, original working Talon zipper and perfect knits. The patch is custom made, likely hand stitched in Japan, and carries the pilot's name on the bottom.

They don't come along in this condition, ever. This came straight from the vet's son, and belonged to a pilot who joined the navy in 1941, retiring in 1961. I'll provide a little more information to the next custodian of this beautiful piece.
