big-jack-1940s-chore-jacket
Big Jack 1940s Chore Jacket

A great example of a late 1940s/early 50s chore jacket from a smaller manufacturer, Big Jack. It seems this company was based in Bristol Virginia/Tennessee, founded in the early 1900s, and eventually was bought by Blue Ridge Overalls in 1951/52. I imagine the factory then likely turned to producing branded denim for Penneys & Roebucks. A hard to find brand, especially a nice chore. The pockets sit nicely and low and pulled to the side, classic 1940s style.

Condition

Lovely used condition, nice strong blue, great fades on the arms.
