A true British Army classic. Essentially the replacement for the WW2 era WWW 'dirty dozen' the Smiths W10 was the British Army general service issued watch from 1967-70. Smiths is something of an institution for British watch fans, the last British made automatic watch, and the end of an era in which British watch manufacturing was at the forefront of chronology. They would lose the contract in the early 1970s and the now famous CWC watch would be born from the ashes. This particular example is from 1969.
Condition
This is a solid vintage watch and shows signs of honest wear. The movement is great, I've recently had this serviced and she's keeping amazing time. There are a few scratches to the case back and the dial has a hairline scratch through the broadarrow. It'll come supplied with a brand new 17mm black nato watch strap.
