I've heard these referred to as a lot of things, pink camo, desert camo, desert smock etc. This is British anti-gas cape, and was not intentionally pink. When they were made they were impregnated with anti-gas chemicals, particularly linseed oil that would offer some protection from nefarious chemicals. When the linseed oil has been washed out, the original tan and brown camo has faded to the now iconic pink.
What I love about this one... look carefully at the camo on the front, and it's almost like the left reflects the right!
Condition
This is in excellent condition for one of these capes. All studs and poppers are present and working smoothly. There is one tiny hole in the lower back as pictured. As is standard with these, the marking on the fabric are irregular, and there is light staining throughout.
Size
- No marked size, I believe these were 'one size fits all'.
- Pit to pit 30"
- Collar to cuff 32"
- Collar to hem 44"
