A classic piece of WW2 clothing, and one of the most in-demand pieces in the vintage world. Many people erroneously refer to these as desert smocks, but these were actually designed for use in mountains, the tawny colour providing some camouflage in natural environments. The classic British windproof smock was introduced early in the war, and would go on to be used extensively by the British in various guises well into the 90s. I've got pictures of guys wearing these from WW2 through to Desert Storm!

Condition:

This is in perfect and seemingly only lightly used condition. The material itself is of the  tawny 'salt & pepper' style rather than the more common flat tan drab. The 1942 dated label is present, perfect and very strong. There is one cracked button (i can replace with a ww2 green button if desired), and one light mark near the hem on the back
