A British windproof shirt that has been modified in the style of the French airborne in Indochina. Whilst the fabric is 100% original, I don't believe the modifications are period and have been done more recently. Having studied it carefully I believe this to have been made from trousers, with at least 2-3 pairs of trousers having been used! Based on the wear and fading to the seams, this seems to have been done some time ago, maybe for a film or reenactor etc. When it arrived with me it has a really horrible "Beta" brand zipper which I couldn't find a single reference or date on. I've replaced it with a more appropriate zipper more in-keeping with the garment. A super cool fashion piece and being sold as such.
