Founded in Detroit in 1889 by Hamilton Carhartt, long before being today's fashion giant, it was a classic American workwear brand. Throughtout the early and mid 20th century, the brand would provide it's blue collar worker audience with the denim and duck canvas clothing needed for work in factories, railroads and fields. Now incredibly popular with the vintage denim market, the brand and it's railcar tag are amongst the most sought-after vintage pieces. This cap is from the late 1950s to early 60s in a classic engineer style, with hickory stripe denim, and that all-important Carhartt tag.
Condition
Used with some light staining throughout. The cardboard stiffener inside the peak has broken, pretty cleanly down the middle so it doesn't affect wearing much, and just to the far left hand side a little. It's still a very wearable piece!
