Founded in Detroit in 1889 by Hamilton Carhartt, long before being today's fashion giant, it was a classic American workwear brand. Throughtout the early and mid 20th century, the brand would provide it's blue collar worker audience with the denim and duck canvas clothing needed for work in factories, railroads and fields. Now incredibly popular with the vintage denim market, the brand and it's railcar tag are amongst the most sought-after vintage pieces. This cap is from the 1950s in a classic engineer style, with hickory stripe denim, and that all-important Carhartt tag.
Condition
Used but excellent, with few signs of wear. The only issues is the lower line of stitching securing the tag has come away, but this can very easily be replaced.
