Carhartt first introduced their hunting and outdoor specialist brand Super Dux brand in the 1930s, but discontinued it after only a few short years. They would revive the sub-brand in the 1950s again continuing to produce garments specific for hunting, fishing etc. This example dates to this 1950s relaunch. Following the classic styles of the day, this would have three pockets to the front, the bottom two with elasticated storage for 6 shotgun shells in each. Into the rear of the jacket they would build a poachers pouch complete with waterproof lining and accessible openings to either side of the jacket. A simple rugged classic in excellent shape.
Condition
Used but very good. A few light jackets to the shell but no damage at all, it's very very clean. There is some light staining on the inside of the hunting pocket, which has caused a little wear to the bottom of the pocket, but this is complete invisible from the outside.
