A stunning example of British utilitarian design. These jackets were made for use by the Royal Navy during WW2. Made from the same thick melton wool as their far more common longer brothers, these shorter versions are a dramatically different fit and are considerably harder to find! This example is in a very rare Tan colourway, most of these are in a white, which actually helps to hide some of the staining/wear! Unfortunately it's missing it's label, but the stitching from where it would have been is easily visible.
Condition
Structurally the jacket is in amazing shape, however, the outer most layer of wool has a few moth bites and wear. There is a little light staining, but the jacket is still very much wearable and a lovely addition to any collection
