An American classic, the Duxbak hunting jacket. Founded in the 19th century in Utica New York, Duxbak was one of the first big players in the hunting jacket game, and was certainly the most dominant brand throughout the 20th century. This beautiful example dates to the mid 1920s. It come with all the hallmarks of an early example including the 'half-moon' pocket opening to both sides of the chest, button closures throughout without any zippers and a wonderful heavy chestnut brown canvas (versus the later khaki). It retains one branded Duxbak button, the others were missing or broken and have been replace by a NOS set of Vegetable Ivory buttons - I bought a full set for the jacket and will include the spares in the jacket pocket.
Condition
Used but excellent. Buttons as described above and a little fading to the canvas. Otherwise perfect.
