An American classic, the Drybak hunting jacket. Founded around 1900 in Binghampton NY, and along with competitor Duxbak, Drybak would be one of the dominant names in outdoor clothing for the first half of the 20th century. This beautiful example dates to the 1920s - 30s. It come with all the hallmarks of an early example including the 'half-moon' pocket opening to both sides of the chest, button closures throughout without any zippers and a wonderful heavy double layered khaki canvas. It retains a full set of branded drybak buttons, and a rather wild elasticated strap built into the collar I can only assume was meant to tighten the collar around the neck in windy condition.
Condition
Used but very good. Some light wearing and staining, particularly at the hem, and a small hole in the corduroy collar.
