Another wonderful piece of outdoor clothing, with a beautiful design packed to the rafters with features. Started in 1923 by Clyde Shelby Hinson, a Tennessee native who moved to Waterloo Iowa in 1916. A fairly sizeable brand in the 1940s and 50s, Hinson would manufacture hunting apparel, and were heavily involved in manufacturing for the Army during WW2. This particular piece dates from the late 1940s to early 50s with the period appropriate classic brass 'hershey bar' zipper, and dot studs (with a dot). Made from a light cotton, almost an aertex, this would be a wonderful cropped summer fishing jacket. Four pockets to the chest, one on the sleeve, a poachers pocket on the back, and a three on the inside including a leather patch possibly for keeping fishing flies. Straps to the shoulder and pocket to secure your bag, and beautiful soft cord lining on the collar and cuffs. That's a lot to pack into a small garment!
Condition
Used but great, some light fraying to the sleeves but otherwise perfect
