Few brands stand quite as tall as Lee in the workwear world. Founded in 1889 in Salina Kansas, Lee would be a pioneer in workwear design introducing the overalls, coveralls, and early zipper fly denim. This particular piece dates from the very late 50s to early 60s, and has features from both 1950s and 60s manufacturing. This would have been amongst the first jacket to get the shorter L buttons. The main tag doesn't have an R or MR, and the small tag is missing, though it likely would have had an R. There is also the remnants of the 100% Cotton tag in the neck, and I believe this was made around 1959/60s around the time that regulations changed and the material composition was required on a garment.
Condition
Used but great shape. A little fading to the denim, but it retains and good colour. There is a little wear to the lining, but nothing significant and no holes.
