A super cool piece of Americana, an embroidered Lee 101-J jacket. I believe these jackets were made for the University of Missouri's Agronanhus Club, know informally as the Aggies. This was a social club for agricultural student, and it seems students were given one of these jackets at their first major festival event in the freshman year. For example, this was worn by Ron of the Class of 65, and he got the jacket at Bonde Festival in April of 62.
More interestingly, when looked at over the years between 1957 (the earlier I've seen) and 1970 (the latest), you can pretty accurately date the various features of the 101-J!
Condition
Used but great shape, fading throughout but no damage and a good strong colour. The only issue is a missing button on the back left waist tab.
