First introduced toward the end of the 1950s, the Westerner jacket, based very heavily on the 101-j, was aimed at Cowboys looking to dress a little smartly! These would hit a level of fame and popularity of their own, especially when they became a regular look for Elvis. This early 1960s example was made to commemorate Havre Montana's Multi-tenntial, which I believe celebrated the anniversaries of three railroads reaching the city.
