Established in San Francisco as far back as 1876, Can't Bust Em was initially a brand of the Eloesser-Heynemann Company. Through the first half of the 20th Century they would build a reputation as a preeminent west cost workwear brand. It would be purchased by Lee around 1946 who would continue to use the trademark for many years. This beautiful example, a rare Jacket under this brand, dates to the early 1950s. This sort of style jacket can be see being worn in films around 1952/53 so I would pretty accurately date it around then. A nice light denim, almost to the weight of a chambray, and simply put together with knits and a Talon zipper. Simplicity at its best.
Condition
Mint, no damage or condition issues I can see except a popped seam on one shoulder that looks like a manufacturing error. No stains or other issues.
