I love a good bit of vintage chain stitch, and nothing more than a bowling shirt. But this stands out above all other bowlers. The Manhattan Project was the most ambitious undertaking of WW2, taking some of the world's most accomplished theoretical physicists to make a weapon so powerful it would bring the war to an end. Oakridge Tennessee, also known as Atomic City, or Secret City was established in 1942 to manufacture the the enriched uranium and plutonium that would be required. This shirt is a small piece of that history, likely post-war, but certainly 40s/50s.
