A super cool, super rare and very much in demand item, the Mk1 Cold Weather flying parka, or to give it the correct designation "22C/1158 Overall, Flying, Cold Weather, Mk 1, Size 6". First developed in the early part of the 1950s as a replacement for the aging Irvin flying jackets, these would be a mainstay of RAF cold weather flying clothing well in the mid-1960s. Whilst technically seperates, these were often issued as suits, with the trousers and parka sewn together. It looks like that might have been the case with these trousers as they have some light stitch marks. All the hallmarks of brutalist British 1950s design, and a classic piece of British vintage.
Condition
Used used condition. Some light fading/marks and imporper storage has caused some light corrosion damage to the buckle and fabric near the buckle. The very top of the zipper on the male side has split, but this doesn't affect using the zipper or wearing at all. One of the buttons on the lining has pulled out a touch. Aside from some small issues, this is an excellent condition example, one of the best I've seen in a wearable large size.
