Whilst the mk2 jacket is more popular with the vintage crowd, it was largely disliked by anyone who wore it, and was replaced in all services by the extremely popular mk3 Foul Weather Jacket. This piece was developed for the RAF, but was so well liked it would go on to be used by both the Army and Navy. It would make a name for itself in the Falklands as a reliable waterproof, and would have a career lasting well into the 90s. The BIL tagged Belstaff versions are the earliest, and the most sought after of the popular pieces
