There is really only one problem with this pattern of parka... When you first try it on, you'll suddenly realise that all other jackets that you've ever owned are not as good as you thought they were. These really are the best garment ever made. You can see quality throughout, from the chunky zips, to the wooden toggles, fur rimmed hood and thick ventile fabric. So much has been said about this pattern, and I won't repeat much. The pattern was developed in 1951 as the cold war really cooled. The British, alongside their Nato partners would increasingly see the arctic regions as the frontline, and thus prepared themselves accordingly. This particular example is from the 1970s, once the RAF changed their colours from blue/grey to NATO green. This timeless jackets would be used well into the 90s, a lifespan of nearly 50 years and testament to their durability, quality and design.

Condition:

Used but in great wearable condition. There is a little wear to the folds around the cuffs, a couple of buttons missing on the pockets, and a popped seam around the belt loop which is an easy fix if the new owner would like it.

Size:

  • Tagged a size 4 - the perfect size!
  • This fits like a modern M/L
  • Pit to pit 24"
  • Shoulder to shoulder 22"
  • Shoulder to cuff 23"
  • Collar to hem 78cm 42"

PLEASE NOTE, IF THE SHIPPING IS TO THE UK BEFORE JUNE 16TH, PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA IG BEFORE PURCHASING SO I CAN PROVIDE THE CORRECT SHIPPING COST.
