A classic piece of WW2 militaria, and now a perfect weekend bag. These bags were used throughout the war by RAF pilots and are commonly seen being carried by bomber crews walking to or from their waiting aircraft. Made from heavy canvas with a beautiful chunky brass Lightning zipper - this is actually my favourite zipper pull (geeky, yes). It featured the very solid broadarrow mark on either side, and a stamp for 'Safety Equipment Section Methwold', RAF Methwold having been home to No. 2 Group and No 3. Group RAF flying Venturas, Sterlings and Lancasters.
Condition
Used but great shape. A little fraying to one of the handles, but nothing that would stop this still being used.
