Hailing from Galesburg Illinois, the Gross company was founded in 1901 to manufacture overalls for the growing rail industry, and was eventually sold to Carhartt in the 1970s. The particular piece, a wonderful chore jacket was made in the 1940s-50s, and comes in beautiful mint condition. A load of wonderful details including a woven tag, beautiful enamel inlaid branded buttons, and my personal favourite are the red bartacks and buttons holes. Includes an "Amalgamated Worker of America' tag of the type found between 1949-62.

Condition

Used but mint, looks like only a few washes with very strong colour to the denim and no damage whatsoever.
