The 1968 Olympics, held in Oct 68 in Mexico City. It was a dominant performance from Team USA, taking home 107 medals including 45 golds. One of those gold medals was won by Tommie Smith, and a Bronze by John Carlos. As they solemnly mounted the podium in their moment of Triumph, both wearing human rights badges and black socks with no shoes, they would slowly raise their black gloved fists. This moment, known forever as the Black Power Salute, and it would be a defining moment and image of the civil rights movement. In that image they are both wearing these Wilson made Team USA sweaters.
Unfortunately this example is unnamed, but that doesn't detract from the coolness of this amazing piece.

Mint condition. I've stitched up a popped seam in the artpit, but otherwise perfect.
