The first and definitive MA-1 pattern. This beautiful, and extremely rare jacket was made in 1955, the first of what would go on to become the most iconic of military jackets. Beautiful details including the squared zip placket (which would change to rounded on the A model), and the oxygen clips under each armpit and by the zip (which would be removed on the B model).

This belonged to Bennie B. Potts, who joined the army straight out of school in 1942, and would go on to serve for 24 years. He was a veteran of WWII (126th Infantry Philippines), Korea (279th Infantry), and Vietnam (57th Helicopter Company and Company C 228 Avn Bn). Plus he was the 1st American decorated for valor in combat in Vietnam!
