Introduced into service inn 1967 this was an early iteration of the ERDL pattern camouflage that would become the standard US camo pattern of the second half on Vietnam and on into the 1970s. This featured the 'green dominant' pattern (note the colour contrast against the brown dominant background) that wasn't wholly suited to use in Vietnam, with the bright green standing out against the brown tinged grasslands. These were soon replaced in service by the ripstop cotton version, and largely the brown colourway. Suits like this are hard to find, especially in unworn condition.
Condition
This is unworn, but the jacket does appear to have been shortened and tapered to suit the wearers body shape, possibly issued in a medium long, and modified locally to a medium short. The trousers are perfect. All tags from both trousers and jacket have been removed.
