Classic USAF 1970s flight jacket as worn by aviators throughout the Vietnam period. This example is patched to Charles A Gabriel, who served with the USAF from 1950 when he graduated from West Point, retiring as Air Force Chief of Staff in 1986. This jacket would be from the time in the mid 1970s when he served first as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations at Headquarters Tactical Air Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va. Period correct name tag with three stars on the shoulder.
Condition
Excellent used condition. A few very light moth nips, but otherwise absolutely perfect. The plastic of the name tag and shoulders has yellowed and warped a little from age.
