Introduced in the late 1930s, these were one of the earliest overalls developed specifically for US Army Air Corps use! Made of the then new HBT fabric - this is actually the first weave of hbt used by the military and matches neither of the later Army and USMC weaves. These can be seen being worn by pilots and mechanics in the late 1930s/pre-war years, often along with the A-2 'flat' mechanic cap. I also believe they would go on to be used by paratroopers when training in the early war years.

This example comes complete with amazing USAAC artwork period applied to the back! A very rare garment as is anything from what was a very small air force at the time!

Condition

Used with wear and staining. There are some light holes etc on the legs. All buttons are present and work correctly.
