The US Army established the Counter Insurgency Support Office (CISO) in 1963 to supply everything the US Special Forces and Civilian Irregular Defense Group (CIDG) would need to fight the Viet Cong. Inluded amongst this was everything from clothing, to weapons and rations. This is a classic example of the CISO ordered boonie, made in Okinawa. The tiger pattern is John Wayne by RDJ's classification, and it features the white size label, OD green lining and hand applied eyelets. This one also includes a chinstrap that looks field applied. A beautiful example of a much desired item!
Condition
Used but great, strong colour to the camo and no damage. A little light rusting on the eyelets and some rust marks on the lining.
