A great, and really rather hard to find piece of military clothing. The practise of modifying M-43 jump pants started just prior to Operation Market garden, and would continue into the early 1950s. This particular pair are of the Korean War period, easily recognisable with addition of modified flapped and studded back pockets. The cargo pockets are made from a very heavy canvas, that seems to have been impregnated with wax and completed with sets of unbranded brass studs. To complete the mod, a set of twill webbing straps have been added to the inner seam, designed to tie around the legs and keep pocket contents in place. These also feature a laundry number - L-8477 - inside the waist, so research is possible. Not as rare as the WW2 versions, which are incredibly popular with airborne collectors, but still an outstanding addition to any collection.

Used but excellent, fading throughout but no damage or issues.
