These beautiful pre-war denim hats would not see combat service, rather they were issued as part of a denim suit along with a jumper and pants and designed to be work for dirty work duties. Issued in 1937, and only for a few years, these now come in either deadstock versions with tiny sizes, or washed to death! This beautiful example sits somewhere inbetween, plenty of strong blue, some yellowing to the cotton and the most amazing fading.
In amazing vintage condition. One small nick to the denim and I've popped a line of fresh stitching between the brim and the bucket to fixed a popped seam.
- No tag, but will fit a 7 1/4 - 7 3/8 perfectly
