Starting during the war, newly minted paratroopers would take their silver jump wing, remove the pinback, and attach the wing to a heavy ring or bracelet. Often these would be given to sweethearts as gifts, or worn as a symbol of pride in their unit. This practise would continue after the war. This particular example like dates to the late to early postwar period, but its hard to be 100% certain.
Condition
Used but no damage or issues. The ring itself is a touch wonky but that doesn't affect wearing and could easily be reshape by a jeweller.
