In 1942, as the US prepared for a war across all continents and climates, it looked at how it was equipping its specialised troops, particularly the 10th Mountain Division. The design for these was lifted from a woollen pair of trousers, and based on contemporary ski pants with the addition of cargo pockets. There are a heavy-weigh pair of pants, with a double layer of cotton on the front from thigh to ankle. It's got Talon zipper fly & pockets and a double button waist. This pair still retains the ankle straps to keep the pants from riding up. I have a pair of these and I love them.
Condition:
This beauty is in amazing condition. It retains all the original features, zips, buttons etc. The tag is washed out and there is some light fading, but otherwise perfect. They havent even been altered at the waist like most other pairs!
