Certainly one of the more esoteric and rare hats that I've had recently. This was made in the 1930s for the US Naval Prison at Portsmouth NH. Made of a thick wool, these would have been worn alongside a salt & pepper striped shawl neck. These piece are very very hard to find!
Condition
This one is unused and features its original tag, but it has had a few moths nips which have left a little damage.
