A super cool example of a 1960s 'rigger' made parka as used by US Navy crews in Operation Deep Freeze in antartica in the late 1960s to early 70s.. As with other I've come across, this is simply made combining an parka liner, detachable hood and a custom made nylon shell. This example comes beautifully patched to the chest and both sleeves. Based one YKK zipper and patches I believe this example dates from the late 60s.
Condition
Used but solid. Some light marks are stains to the sleeves and rare, but largely perfect.
