A great example of the classic US Navy squadron cap. This example was made around the mid-1960s by Harvard Sports Headwear, and unlike many caps of the era which are Japanese, it was made in the USA. I've had a few Harvards over the years, and these are incredibly well made caps, that feel really substantial. This one was made for a crewman serving with VQ-2, a US Navy reconnaissance squadron that flew a variety of aircraft and would fly during the Cuban Missile Crisis as well as Vietnam. All the insignia and the the Batmen patch to the reverse are original
Condition
Really solid shape and looks hardly worn. There are a few tiny moth nips to the wool, but a very beautiful and wearable piece.
