The classic US Navy flight jacket, the G1. This style evolved from the WW2 era M422A and would be worn through to the late 80s. This particular example is unfortunately missing its contract label, but I believe it dates to the mid-late 1970s. It's named and patched to Gary Himmelein, who actually served with the Air Force. I haven't found much on him, just that he served as a Sergeant in Air Force, spending some time in Thailand in the early 1970s as a F111 crew chief, and clearly later served with the Navy, likely as an exchange. He passed in 2015 and is buried in Wisconsin.
Condition
This jacket is in excellent condition, with no damage at all bar the missing label.
