The last of the summer flying jackets to be made during WW2. Made by Meister Brothers on an Aviation Supply Office N288s contract number, and likely this one was made in early 1945. These jackets were designed to complement the summer flying suits, and are essentially the same design but cutdown. Remarkably light cotton makes them perfect for summer use, especially in the warm climates of the pacific on which the Navy was heavily focused in the later part of the war.
Condition
Used but solid. A little wear to the ends of the cuffs but otherwise great.
