Whilst its hard to date exactly, I believe this beauty of a cap would have been made in Japan in the early 60s for a pilot flying with VF-92. The squadron would be one of the first to receive Phantom aircraft in 1963 and would be heavily involved in Vietnam with many tours in the area between 1965-74.
Condition
In beautiful condition. There is a little light staining to the underside of the brim, but otherwise perfect.
