Introduced in 1943/44 this pattern of denim dungaree is part of the archetypal WW2 USN working uniform. They were made with a loose fit through the leg so they could be removed quickly in water and used as an improvised floatation device. This was combined with lightweight denim to help them dry quickly, though this has meant many have been lost to time or torn and repaired. It's remarkably hard to find a pair in both as good condition as these, but also in a size big enough to fit a modern body shape! There is even a name on the rear!
Condition
In beautiful worn vintage condition, amazing strong blue colour with some fading & paint marks, the denim is very much still wearable. One hole on the rear pocket, and I've repaired what seemed like a manufacturing issue on the inside with the pocket bags fraying and coming away from the leg panels. There are two invisible lines of stitching on either side of the button placket to secure the pockets and make them fully useable.
