A lovely rarity and another first for me! These beautiful briefcases were made pre-war by the famous LL Bean for the US Navy as briefcases for navigators and aircrew. This particular example includes some documentation and personal items from the original owner, a Ventura pilot who flew with Patrol Bomber Squadron 129.
Condition
Used but solid. The zipper works well and there is no damage bar a popped seam near the handles. A little light wear and creaking to the leather, and dirt/staining throughout.
