Every gentleman likes his coffee, and it doesn't get better than this. A beautiful pre-war silver soldered USN officers ward room coffee pot and a pair of 'watch-standing' coffee cups known as egg cups. The 48oz coffee pot was made by Gorham, and is hard to date exactly, but I've seen similar pots by Reed Barton dated between 1938-41. The two cups are made by Tepco with the correct Vitrified China mark as produced during the war. The different marks on the cups show which officer rank should be using them, the USN in the diamond shape being for Warrant Officers, and the fouled anchor for Lieutenant Commander/Commander. They don't have handles so officers could keep they hands warm whilst on watch.
Condition
Good used condition. Slight marks and dirt but no damage or corrosion.
