A classic piece of US Navy cold weather gear, and an essential part of any self respecting vintage lovers wardrobe (I wear mine constantly!). This style of cap was used by the US Navy from the 30s through to the 60s, though this is of the classic WW2 style. A tightly knitted wool cap that provides warmth and comfort, and gently stretches to fit any head.
Condition:
This is in phenomenal condition and shows few signs of wear. Very unusually there are no holes or moth nips, and the shape is completely original, bar two folds that show how its been stored for 70 years. The tag looks like it has been waxed or linseed oiled (this could be from the factory), and has obviously never been washed. It retains a strong full colour name/rate, and hasn't shrunk from washing.

- Expands to cover any head size. I'm a 7 3/8 and this fits nicely.
