One of the most in-demand vintage items, and one of the hardest to find. These awesome hats were issued as part of the C1 survival vest kit toward the end of the war, and this pattern would go on to be used into the 90s. The theory was they could be worn green side out when a pilot had been shot down in enemy territory, and when a rescue chopper approached it could be switched to orange to increase visibility and make it easier for the rescue team to spot!
Condition
This is in amazing condition, and looks barely used. All of the stamped dot snappers work correctly. Both sides show really strong colour, and there are only a few light marks on the green side (near my finger in the image) I strongly suspect these may come out with a good clean.
Size
This is adjustable, but would top out around a 7 1/2 making it a medium/large size
